The Spanish Business Council together with ICEX and COSENTINO organized a conference about a funding program for Spanish companies call CDTI. The seminar took place on the 25th of October at Cosentino Showroom in Dubai.
Erik Rovina, Economic and Commercial Counsellor in the UAE, started the presentation who paved way for Guillermo Cobelo, Chairman of the Spanish Business Council. Mr Cobelo as Chairman of the Spanish Business Council commented the importance of the SBC in UAE, how this organization helps the spanish companies to connect and work together. He continued saying “the SBC is the bridge between Spain and UAE “.
Once the introduction was finished Jose Manuel, Delegate Middle East and North Africa in CDTI (R+D+i) – Government of Spain, explained what is CDTI, how this program is helping Spanish companies, how companies can apply to this program and which services are provided by CDTI
CDTI was created in 1977 by Spanish Public Agency of Innovation (Ministy of Science, Innovation and Universities) financing the Spanish private companies R&D. The program has a focal point for the promotion, assesment and funding of technological innovation close to market. It is open to all sectors, technologies and fields with a civil purpose. Regarding the projects: the partners involved decide freely the topic of the project not CDTI. The main goal of the program is to increase the competitivenes of the Spanish companies by raising its technological profile based on innovative solution to the market.
Finally Daniel Amir, director digital health Etisalat, told his experience as a partner involved with the funding program CDTI.
