DUKES THE PALM PARTNERED WITH LALIGA TO HOST THE UAE’S FIRST EDITION OF THE SPANISH EXTRAVAGANZA FESTIVAL

Dukes The Palm, a Royal Hideaway Hotel part of Spanish owned international Barceló Hotel Group, partnered with world famous football royalty LaLiga to host the UAE first edition of the Spanish Extravaganza Festival.
During the past week (8th, 9th, 10th and 11th of September), a number of gastronomy centric events where conducted with the collaboration of renowned Hospitality brands like Barceló, Royal Hideaway and ICCA with culinary creations from four of Spain’s most celebrity Michelin chefs – Chef Juanlu Fernandez, Chef Fernando del Cerro, Chef Ager Urigüen and Paella MasterChef David Montero.
The combined team of the 2 Michelin Starred chefs Juanlu Fernández and Fernando del Cerro, coming directly from their awarded restaurants in Spain were the key actors in presenting Cooking Master Classes, in serving their creations in 2 Cocktail dinners and in another 2 tasting presentations open to public where they prepared Spanish tapas and traditional dishes with a touch or vanguard.
Another important outcome from these events is the signature of an internship programs to send local trained hospitality professionals to Michelin Starred restaurants in Spain to continue their training in the highest hospitality and gastronomy standards.
Provacuno, the Spanish Inter-professional Association representing the Beef sector has been organizing and hosting several high profile events in the last years to create awareness about Spain as one of the best origins for the highest quality Beef products, grain fed as a one of the main differentiations compared to other origins.
Backed by the European Union, Provacuno have chosen Dubai and the UAE to resume its international promotion activities after the COVID-19 restrictions. The events took place following all the precautionary measures to respect social distancing and to avoid the risk of contagion.
