More than 20 people attended to the business breakfast hosted in Media One Hotel, Dubai. The session was focused on the international development of LaLiga and Fernando Sanz, Manager Director of MENA International project explained the steps followed in the strategy.
Fernando has started telling why LaLiga? Because they have been selected as the strongest league in the world for seven times in a row, LaLiga counts with the best players (10 of the last 11 Ballon D’or winners played in LaLiga, also with the best teams and the best match “El clasico”.
Fernando continued saying that LaLiga is global. In the last years the audience has increased from 1.2 billion to 2.6 billion and they estimated by the end of 2018 an audience of 3 billion. This is the result of major matches in prime time around the world. Thanks to the multilange multiplatorm (social media, youtube, web, apps and games) LaLiga has became a step ahead in social media followers in compare with Premier League, NBA or Bundesliga.
Since 2013 LaLiga has reached big advacements like financial fairplay, centralization of media, fight against match-fixing and piracy.
The Manager Director focused during the presentation in the important points of the international development of Laliga such as strategy agreements, increase value of brand and international presence, and to be closer to the fans.
Finally, Fernando Sanz has commented his work in the MENA territory. They have opened first international office in Dubai in 2014. LaLiga has created first high performance centre in the world, also LaLiga Academy in UAE. Besides they had made differents projects like Project with Fundacion LaLiga at Zaari Refugee Camp in Jordan and events with LaLiga Ambassadors and legends.
LaLiga has created a global network that covers all the continents.
