Provacuno and “What a Wonderful European Beef” conducted a series of events in Dubai and Abu Dhabi during the first half of November have been a success from different angles.
On November 6th there were two events at ICCA ( International Center for Culinary Arts ), focused in the Media and local Bloggers as well as in Hospitality professionals and Hospitality students to disseminate the benefits of the Spanish- European Beef origin as an alternative to the preferred local standards ( mostly Australian ).
On November 7th., H.E. Antonio Alvarez Barthe, Spanish Ambassador in the UAE, hosted a cocktail – dinner organized by Provacuno with the collaboration of the Spanish Commercial and Economic office.
The profile of the attendants was Hospitality Senior Managers, F&B and Hotel owners and operators, Chefs, F&B Importer and Distributors and local authorities.
Some of the key outcomes of these events are the MOU agreement for hosting internships in Michelin Starred restaurants in Spain, the increasing awareness about the Spanish beef among the main opinion leader’s groups including the importers, distributors, F&B Managers, hospitality brands and local media / influencers.
Furthermore, during the last event it was announced that the Spanish Beef will count with two distributors positioning products from at least two Spanish producers in both channels, Horeca and Retail so very soon there will be Spanish beef cuts in of the main Supermarket chains in Dubai and Abu Dhabi initially and in the rest of the emirates in a second phase.
