Dubai, 25th January, 2021
Amazing evening for the Spanish Business Council and their members. In the Annual General Meeting celebrated on the 24th of January at Dukes The Palm Hotel the Chairman of the SBC, Guillermo Cobelo, explained the results achieved in 2020. Highlighting the Vice Presidency of FEDECOM, the challenges of Covid-19 and how the SBC has dealt with them, the explosive growth of social media over 2020 and the 15th anniversary of the SBC. This success was a consequence of the support of the members who rely on the platform, a bridge between Spain and UAE.
We counted with the presence of the Economic and Commercial Counselor of Spain in UAE, Andrés Salinero, who had some words to the members standed out the importance of the spanish value that it is increasing thanks to its economy.
Afterwards, the election of the executive committee of 2021 started, where the members had to vote the candidates and give their approval of the annual accounts of 2019 and budget for 2021. This year has been different as we organized the AGM together with an Extraordinary General Meeting to vote the update of the Articles of Association under the Dubai Chamber of Commerce requirements that were approved unanimously.
